About Us
The National Institute for Caregivers (NIC) is a Nigeria-based professional institute focused on caregiver training, standards,
and services. It operates in Abuja under NIC-Nigeria (LTD/GTE).
NIC provides a platform for raising standards in caregiving, training professionals, and offering membership pathways
for individuals at different stages of the caregiving profession.

Where Certificates Are Useful
- Nigeria: Private sector, NGOs, home-care agencies, residential facilities (roles like aide, companion, caregiver).
- UK: Preparation for Care Certificate (must be completed with an employer).
- USA: CNA roles require state-approved training + exam; NIC certificates can supplement but not replace.
- Canada: PSW roles require provincial-approved certificates; NIC training complements but does not substitute.
